Processed in PixInsight as SHO palette (Calibration, Integration, Star Mask, Morphological Transformation) with inverted SCNR and regular SCNR after combining channels in Photoshop CC. This deep exposure is possible fairly quickly with the Celestron RASA 8 and was taken while the full moon was above the horizon! The dominant colours here are hydrogen and sulphur emissions from the Messier 8 region, commonly known as the Lagoon Nebula but the area besides is NGC 6559 and Simeis 188 which are great to frame altogether with this kind of wider field of view.

I’m hoping to get some truecolour over the next little while on this incredible region, but am still amazed at the detail and clarity of the filtered light in the photo.
